Acceptance

These terms govern your use of Yes to Photos (the "Software"), created and operated by Honest Efforts LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Software.

The Software

Yes to Photos is a local-only desktop application for organizing and searching photo libraries, with on-device AI for face recognition, semantic search, and OCR. It is currently offered as a public beta and is provided on an evolving basis — features may change, and you should keep your own backups of your photos.

License grant and permitted use

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software:

• Free tier — manage up to 5,000 photos at no cost.
• Paid license — a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited photos and activation on up to 3 devices you own or control.

License restrictions

You agree not to:

• resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Software;
• share, publish, or resell your license key;
• circumvent the free-tier limit or license activation controls;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.

Payments

Paid licenses are sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, who processes payment and handles applicable taxes. A paid license is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription.

Refunds

Paid licenses are covered by our Refund Policy, which offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Your content

Your photos and library are and remain yours. The Software accesses your files in read-only mode and processes everything on your device — we never receive, upload, or store your photos. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you manage with the Software.

Intellectual property

The Software — including its source code, design, copy, and the "Yes to Photos" name and wordmark — is owned by Honest Efforts LLC. © 2026 Honest Efforts LLC. All rights reserved. Your license grants use of the Software; it does not transfer any ownership.

Disclaimers and beta software

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. As beta software, it may contain errors. Always keep independent backups of your photos; we are not responsible for data loss.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Honest Efforts LLC's total liability arising from your use of the Software is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Termination

Your license remains in effect until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach these terms. You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it. Provisions on intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
